The Venue. The people. The care.

  • Our Prince Edward County wedding venue is our home. We take on a limited number of weddings each year so every couple gets our full attention. From your first visit to your final send-off, everything is taken care of—so you can actually enjoy your wedding. Novel, we know.

    • Party barn - Tons of natural light, a DJ booth and AV, the coolest concrete bar, twinkle lights everywhere, a disco ball

    • Dining barn - A beautiful two story restored barn with bathrooms, a huge bar, space to get ready, our pottery studio, and room for up to 100 guests to dine indoors.

    • Outdoor areas to play with: hammocks, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, gardens + more

    • Tent - nestled in the gardens, the perfect spot for an al fresco meal for up to 150 guests.

  • Good, honest, hardworking humans who care a lot about connection, sustainability, creating memorable experiences, and making magic.

    We focus on one event a week, allowing us to focus on creating a custom experience for each event we host.

    We strive to leave as little impact on the natural world and take pains to cut down our carbon footprint.

    We believe every little touch matters. From the handmade light fixtures, to the in house ceramics studio where we build each dish and vase by hand, to the collaborations with local winemakers and brewers. Every little detail is poured over with so much care. We can feel it and we know you will too.

  • After meeting and falling in love in 2010, we (Kevin and Mary Wood) felt the pull of the County. We purchased 100 Acre Wood in 2015, knowing we would work towards hosting memorable events. In 2017, after two years of daily work on the space, we hosted our first two weddings at 100 Acre Wood, my sister’s, and of course, our own wedding.

    We are no strangers to the hospitality industry. From bakeries, to coffee shops, fine dining, to restaurant ownership (Woodlot), we have come to The County to host you at our home, and break bread with you.

    Having experienced bad food, bad wine, and bad service at weddings in the past, we are committed to an elevated dining experience at 100 Acre Wood. We create memorable meals that are based on connection. We might even wager that you'll experience one of the best meals you've had in a while. We are excited to host you and your favourite people for what we think might be your favourite meal in a long long while.

How It Works
  • Shoot us an email and we’ll send a bunch of info your way

  • Book in a tour either in person or virtually. We’ll show you around and answer all your questions.

  • After your tour you’ll get in touch to confirm your booking and seal the deal. We’ll send a contract over and pop the bubbly.

  • We’ll start planning right away. Most of our planning is online for ease of access, and we will start by building out your schedule, booking vendors, creating our work flow, and becoming besties.

  • Time to pack up for your big weekend and join us in PEC. We’ll meet and rehearse with you on day 1, and day 2 we’ll party like never before and get you hitched. We can even legally marry you if you’d like. Once the parties over we’ll take care of the mess and send you off with more treats and a promise of friends forever.
